Our gardening teams are made up of people who adopt a specific garden area or bed and agree to care for that space throughout the year. They design, plant, weed, water and do whatever is necessary to care for their space. When combined with the work of other parishioners, we keep all the gardens on our grounds looking great. You don't need any experience, just a love of gardening and a desire to pitch in.
We're proud to say that our gardening teams have won accolades from the Belmont Neighborhood Association. Our Grotto has been awarded the Metro Nashville Beautification Award. Each year a committee composed of a priest, deacon and staff members judge each garden area and award the Garden of the Year Award. The competition is fierce!
2015 - A Year of Transformatiom and Turmoil
This winter, the portion of our grounds in the front and back of the rectory have been improved by the addition of new trees, which have been tagged and have now become a part our arboretum. The addition of shrubbery in front of the rectory has been delayed until this fall. A new courtyard between the rectory and the side of the church will also be completed late this fall. Until then, please excuse our mess! All of the grounds will be beautiful again next spring.
