Council #12256
Lowell Gorman - Grand Knight - kofc@ctk-nashville.org
Patrick Newsom - Deputy Grand Knight
The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic men's organization that serves the family, church and community. Most of our council's service projects and financial support are focused on Christ the King Church and School, but we also strive to assist the local community in various ways.
Our service projects include leadership and labor for an annual Habitat for Humanity build; blood drives for the American Red Cross; support for the Room In the Inn program; the hosting of an annual Christmas party for the residents and caregivers of Mur-Ci Homes, a residential agency serving individuals with severe/profound developmental disabilities; pancake breakfasts and fish fries for the parish; various youth activities for the school children; and assistance throughout the year with many projects in and around the church and school.
Membership offers the opportunity for fellowship with those who are of the same belief, who recognize the same duty to God, to family and to neighbor and who stand side by side in defense of those beliefs. Various programs are offered to appeal to the individual interest of the members. Through many activities, members are enabled to serve their Church, their country and their fellow man. Through membership, they develop a consciousness of their ability to lead and to assist.
Applications are available from any member of the Knights of Columbus. Every knight is happy to propose eligible Catholic men for consideration as members.
