At Christ the King Church, we believe that faith formation is an ongoing, life-long process that begins with parents as the first teachers of their children. As stewards of faith, our volunteer catechists help guide the children and youth of our parish through a variety of engaging and meaningful activities to help them in their faith formation journey. Our curriculum is designed to help our children know, proclaim, witness, and share the Catholic faith.
The success of our ministry depends on the dedicated individuals of Christ the King Church. One of the main reasons our community continues to grow in love and support of one another is through the work of our amazing volunteers. We encourage all parishioners to become involved in some way.
Catechists are needed to teach our preschool and elementary religious education classes. We need teens and adults who are willing to share their faith and guide the young children of our community.
Each summer, we also need catechists to help with Vacation Bible School.

Our Preschool PREP is for children in grades PreK-3 and PreK-4. These classes meet in the school during the 8:30 mass. A parent must commit to assisting in the classroom once per semester. Children who turn three-years-old after August 15 are eligible for our Nursery. Our '24-'25 classes are at a waitlist. Please contact Kirsten Osborne to be added to the list.
Children in grades K-8 who do not attend a Catholic school should be involved in PREP. Grades K-8 meet in the school between our Sunday morning liturgies, from 9:45-10:45 a.m.
If your family is new to PREP, please fill out this intake form. If you are a returning PREP family, you can register your child for PREP here.
