John was ordained a Permanent Deacon in 1999 and served at the Cathedral of the Incarnation from 1999 through 2013. John returns to his roots at Christ the King where he was baptized and confirmed and attended school through the 8th grade. John graduated Father Ryan High School and Marquette University before returning to Nashville.
He has worked in manufacturing and has been a local entrepreneur as well as an officer in the Tennessee Army National Guard. HIs military service includes tours in Afghanistan and Iraq as well as service in response operations following Hurricanes Katrina and Gustav.
John has been married to wife Carrie for over 20 years and they have two children
Prior to the Diaconate, John's lay ministry included work on the Renew planning committee, Communications Chair of the Cathedral Parish Council, Chair of the Cathedral Parish Council, Room In the Inn coordinator, and lector.
As a Deacon, John has served as a retreat leader, taught RCIA and Adult Education, baptism preparation, marriage preparation, and personal ministry.
