This Program is a non-denominational Christ-centered program designed to help individuals with the anguish and sorrow of a divorce, and/or a relationship break-up. This program is not a counseling service nor a dating service; it is, however, a safe and confidential place providing an educational and supportive atmosphere. The program consists of three phases. They are:
Support, Phase 1 - approximately two to three (2-3) weeks depending on the number of participants.
Purpose: A time to be heard; a time to listen to one another and encourage each other on their new journey of emotional and spiritual growth.
Rebuilding, Phase II - approximately 10-13 weeks. Participants will move from Phase l to this second Phase.
Purpose: To assist in the process of adjustment to the loss of the relationship using the many building blocks as described in the book, "Rebuilding," by Drs. Bruce Fisher and Robert Alberti. A few of those building blocks are: Denial, Fear, Adaptation, Loneliness, Guilt, Grief, Anger, Self-Worth and a few others.
Boundaries, Phase III - approximately three (3) weeks commencing at the close of Phase II. Only those who have completed Phase I and II will move to this third and final Phase.
Purpose: To assist in the process of being able to clearly define boundaries. A boundary is how far one can go with comfort in a relationship; boundaries provide the protection one needs in order to negotiate the difficult and sometimes painful junctures we encounter in our daily lives.
Cost: $35.00 pre-registration fee which covers all the material you will receive except for the book "Rebuilding, Fourth Edition," which needs to be purchased by the participants. Amazon.com has many used for less than $10.00.
